Purpose

 

THE REV. CARLOS AND GUADALUPE GURROLA RECOGNITION AWARD was established in January 2009 in order to recognize (2) outstanding servants of God that have shown true leadership skills in our Hispanic Baptist Churches, as did the Rev. Carlos and Guadalupe Gurrola.

 

Who may be nominated for the Rev. C.M. Gurrola Award

 

  • Ordained active/ retired minister
  • Active/ retired missionary
  • Seminary student
  • Any church member, deacon, deaconess, or officer

 

Award

 

  • Plaque presentation
  • $200.00 check

(to be paid from the Rev. C.M. Gurrola Award ACCOUNT at Bank of America.  Account maintained and monitored by Joseph Gurrola).

  • Presentation to be awarded by the President of the Hispanic Baptist Convention, Rev. Ricardo Hernández at the Annual Meeting (August).

  • 1-5 pages, typed, double spaced letter about the recipient.  You may want to include educational background, churches served, honors / awards and the reasons why you think the recipient should be awarded this honor.
